music-drama workshop

Community School of the Arts is pleased to partner with Opera Carolina Academy to present a summer workshop providing high-level instruction in voice and in multiple Music-Drama disciplines. Curriculum for this camp features both vocal and music-drama instruction, including stage combat, stagecraft skills, musical interpretation, movement, basic instruction in proper breathing, laryngeal positioning and relaxation, song interpretation and care of the voice.  Students may qualify to participate in master classes with internationally recognized opera stars.

New students must audition and be accepted into the program before they may register.  Auditions will be held on Saturday, May 19th.  Please complete this student information form and the Camp Coordinator will contact you with audition information.
