Now celebrating its eleventh anniversary year, Charlotte's premier summer music camp offers students the chance to learn from and perform alongside the region's most respected music educators from private schools, CMS and the Charlotte Symphony.  Guest conductors returning for 2012 include Sally Ross and Dr. Stanley Michalski, Jr.

All students will be placed in one of several large ensembles based on instrumentation and ability, enjoying classes that include:

Extended Care
Extended care is available before and after Band and Orchestra Camp from 8:00 to 9:00 AM and from 4:00 to 5:00 PM. The cost is $60.

Merit Awards
Merit Awards of $50 toward camp tuition will be given to students who are members of the Charlotte Symphony Youth Orchestra, Charlotte Symphony Junior Youth Orchestra, Union Youth Symphony Western Regional Orchestra, All-State Band, All-District Band, Honors Orchestra, and All-County Band and Orchestra.  Contact the Registrar at 704-377-4187 to process merit awards.

Solo Competition Scholarships
Based on auditions, two students will receive full tuition scholarships to camp, a gift certificate, personal coaching from a faculty member and a solo performance opportunity at the final camp concert.
