CSA Appoints New Program Director

SEPTEMBER 21, 2009:   Community School of the Arts has appointed Aram Kim Bryan
to the post of Program Director, effective immediately.

Ms. Bryan will oversee all aspects of Community School of the Arts' programs, including
faculty recruitment and retention, program development, contracts, venue partnerships,
parent and student satisfaction, and dozens of special events and performances each year.

"The CSA Board of Directors and I are thrilled to welcome Aram to the position of
Program Director and excited to work with her to expand our music and art programs,"
said Andi Stevenson, CSA President and Executive Director.  "She brings to the School
a rare combination of strong artistic judgment, a long and diverse history with the School
and very strong relationships with our students, parents and faculty."

Aram Kim Bryan earned her Bachelor of Music in Performance (Viola) degree with honors
from Missouri State University.  Ms. Bryan joined the CSA faculty in 2002 as a violin and viola
instructor, and in 2003 she also joined the faculty of the School's signature Band and Orchestra
Summer Camp.  She served as director of that camp from 2005 to 2008, during which time
she also taught the School's Beginning Orchestra and Band program.  She founded and remains the
director of the School's Orchestra In Schools program, teaching free violin classes twice weekly
in three CMS elementary schools.  Since late summer 2008, Ms. Bryan has served as Acting Program
Director for the School.
