CSA Celebrates the Season with Recitals and Workshops

DECEMBER 11, 2009:   Community School of the Arts celebrates its students this
holiday season with six recitals and four family workshops this weekend.

Community School of the Arts' Winter Recital Weekend returns tomorrow with
four student recitals on Saturday, December 12th, and two student recitals on
Sunday, December 13th.   More than 200 young musicians will perform for
family and friends in the Duke Energy Theatre at Spirit Square, and a festive
reception in the Spirit Square lobby will follow each recital.

On Saturday, December 12th, the School also will present four sold-out
Gingerbread Houses Family Workshops at Spirit Square.   This Charlotte
holiday tradition welcomes sixty families to the School to decorate two
gingerbread houses each, encouraging creativity among children and parents.
Dates for the 2010 workshops will be announced mid-summer, and families
are encouraged to sign up early before these popular workshops once again
sell out!
