ArtsReach is the remarkable collection of free community programs offered by Community School
of the Arts to students who could not otherwise afford top-quality arts education. Serving
more than 600 students at absolutely no cost, ArtsReach includes:

     * beginning violin instruction at three CMS elementary schools through the
             Orchestra In Schools program;
     * after-school piano and chorus classes at Seigle Avenue Partners;
     * after-school piano and chorus classes at First Baptist Church West;
     * visual arts classes for teens and senior citizens at The Bethlehem Center;
     * summer chorus classes at multiple Freedom School sites;
     * visual arts classes for children at Charlotte Emergency Housing.

ArtsReach programs are grounded in the belief that all people can and should express themselves
through art and music. Community School of the Arts simply provides the tools and training
to help students and seniors give form to their thoughts and expressions.

ArtsReach progams are generously supported by grants from First Presbyterian Church of Charlotte,
the Arts and Science Council, and the Longleaf Fund of the Foundation for the Carolinas.
The distinctive Orchestra In Schools program is wholly underwritten by Wachovia/Wells.

The need for these free programs is enormous, and Community School of the Arts is searching for
