CSA Instructor Honored with NC Award

December 6, 2011: CSA congratulates longtime faculty member Jennifer Frisina, who was recently honored at the North Carolina Music Educators Association convention with the award for the Orchestra Director of the Year in the Western section of North Carolina.  Jennifer teaches private cello lessons for CSA and directs our summer Band and Orchestra Camp.  She is the orchestra director at Randolph IB Middle School and Alexander Graham Middle School.

A CMS colleague, Judy Booth, nominated Jennifer for the award this year.  After the nominating process concluded, other orchestra teachers across the state vote to determine the recipient.  Many of her family members as well as a former CSA Band and Orchestra Camp student were on hand when Jennifer was presented with the award at the NCMEA convention.

"Receiving the award meant the world to me," Frisina said.  She was especially honored "to be recognized by my peers for a job well done."  Applause to CSA's own Jennifer Frisina!
