Community School of the Arts announces new Board
of Directors
Mark Mealy elected chair, 4 new board members elected
Charlotte, NC, June 30,2006 —Community School of the Arts recently
elected its 2006- 2007 officers and new members to the Board of Directors.
Newly elected members to the Board of Directors are Eadie Ferretti, Senior
Vice President and Project Manager at Bank of America; John Hudson, Managing
Director at Wachovia Securities; Jose Hernadez- Paris, Diversity Specialist
for Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools; and Julie Szeker, Corporate Counsel
for Carolinas HealthCare System.
The Executive Committee for the 2004-2005 term includes: New Incoming
Chair: Mark Mealy; Outgoing Chair, Debbie Abels; Amy Pitt, Treasurer;
and David Page Development Committee Chair.
Returning members to the Board of Directors include: Laurie Bond, Henry
Bridges, George Campbell, Rev. Katie Crowe, Jerry Fox, Joseph Grier, Jr.,
Sally Higgins, Joe Huneycutt, Valecia McDowell, Shannon McFayden, Don
Olmstead, Moira Quinn, Cecilia Ramirez, Josephine Rankin, Rev. Dr. Stephen
Shoemaker, and Harriette Line Thompson.
Community School of the Arts is lead by President and Executive Director,
Kathy Ridge and headquartered at Sprit Square.
